Working At Heights - Fall Protection Training

Every year, hundreds of workers are critically injured in preventable falls while working at heights. Levitt Training & Consulting believes the identification of fall hazards and designing a pre-work plan to protect workers is the first step in reducing or eliminating fall hazards. There are a number of systems that can be implemented to protect workers from falls including guardrails, safety nets, personal fall protection/fall arrest as well as the use of safe work practices and training. When planning work that uses fall protection, the attention should focus first on prevention. When personal fall protection systems are used, it is important to identify attachment points and ensure employees know how to properly don, inspect, and properly store the equipment. Taking a planned approach to using fall protection can help prevent fatalities and serious injuries.

Hands on practical exercises are designed to give workers the confidence in the specialized equipment
that may be required to complete the job as well as an understanding of the equipment limitations and
the need for proper pre‐planning.
